Hello Everyone,
Over the last week or so we’ve been busy improving various parts of the wedding blog as we approach the 2 month mark till our wedding and with the bridal shower coming up in just over a week as well.
The gift registry page has been fully updated and brought up to the state the information will be presented in when we mail invitations this week. It features information on our registry at Sears and The Bay along with details on the charities we’ve chosen to support.
The location page has finally been updated with an interactive version of the map Alix has created for the invitations. Just click on any of the pushpins or logos for a description of what is at the location and why it’s important for our wedding, along with the option to have directions generated for you. This even includes the location of the bridal shower!
The date page has also seen an update and will continue to see updates as we finalize dates and times for varying wedding related events. On that page you can also now subscribe to a Google Calendar updated with all of the dates and times. On the sidebar you’ll see a countdown to upcoming wedding events (which is somewhat scary for us!) along with a Twitter feed.
The Twitter feed is new. Whenever a post is made to our Blog a ‘tweet’ will automatically be sent through to our Twitter account allowing anyone interested to be alerted in real-time so they can come to the blog and see what’s new. This will be particularly useful as we get closer to the ceremony, particularly if the weather turns sour and we have to change plans and notify people quickly.
To register for our Twitter on the web you can visit our Twitter page at http://www.twitter.com/jasonandalix/ and click ‘Follow’ if you’re logged in or ‘Sign Up’ if you’re not a member yet. You can also do this from your cellphone and get updates via SMS by texting ‘follow jasonandalix’ to the number ‘21212’ in Canada or ‘40404’ in the United States.
