Mayan ruins and beach time

Mexico recap,
Our day in Mexico was a hot one! We spent the day with the whole Foster family and started off with a somewhat rough and rather hot ferry ride from Cozumel to the main land followed by a long bus ride to the Mayan ruins of Tulum. We unfortunately didn’t get much time in Tulum and were a little disappointed that we didn’t actually get to climb in or around the ruins. The location next to the ocean was very nice though!

After Tulum we stopped by a resort for a delicious Mexican buffet lunch! We also had about an hour to swim in the ocean where there were lots of fun waves to play in. After that we had our long bus and ferry ride back to Cozumel and the ship, where we made it back just in time before the ship sailed out at 7pm. It was a busy and hot stop in Mexico and too bad we didn’t actually get to see much of Cozumel itself, but it was a nice excursion other than the long travel times.

Back on the ship, we missed our main dinning room time so Jason and I went to Johnny Rockets with Amy, Devin and Owen for a deliciously greasy supper. Jason and I shared some chilli cheese fries and onion rings to start, then I had a gigantic, cheesy, bacony burger and Jason had a “Route 66” burger and a chilli cheese dog; we both had Oreo milkshakes and shared an Oreo sunday for dessert! We were stuffed!

Jason and I then watched the Battle of the Sexes show where I was ashamed by the female showing, we lost 1 to 7…. We then finished off the night by taking in the 70’s disco party on the Promenade.

Can’t believe our trip is soon coming to and end!
