Final day cruising

Yesterday was our last full day on The Freedom of the Seas. We spent the day enjoying the ship amenities that we didn’t have a chance to check out yet. Jason and I started out the day with breakfast in the Main Dining Room where we were seated with a friendly older couple from Ohio, but winter in Florida, on their fifth cruise vacation.

We then played a round of mini golf where we had to use children’s putters because it was so busy. We then headed to the helipad in daylight to enjoy the windy but beautiful view from the front of the ship where, for all the Titanic fans, I was able to have my “I’m the king (or rather queen) of the word!” moment.

We did some shopping in the onboard stores, including our duty free alcohol allotment, Jason is looking forward to trying the Crown Royal Maple that he picked up! We checked out the photo gallery and bought one picture of ourselves from the trip.

We got together with the whole Foster family group for some pre-supper wine then enjoyed our last supper on the ship. Overall we were very impressed by the food quality and variety as well as service in the Main Dining Room on the cruise, the food was delicious!

In the evening we attended the final show in the main theatre which was a variety show including music, acrobats and a comedian. We had drinks in our favourite spots on the ship (the Schooner bar, the Crypt and Olive or Twist) and walked out on the deck one last time.

We said our good byes to the Foster’s as we won’t be seeing them again for awhile. Today we get off the ship bright and early and then Jason and I are are off to the Kennedy Space Centre then we head back home. Can’t believe how fast the trip has gone by!
